Paul wrote in Galations 5:17 "For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh,..." He goes on to say that these are contrary to one another so you wouldn't do what you would normally do. You will either live by faith and serve God, or you will live and serve your own desires.
This is the fight we all feel. There is a constant tug in every decision we make. So the spiritual buffer that you feel is expounded upon in the Bible. For those that live by the phrase " it is what it is...", I implore you to really look into what you're saying, or NOT saying. When you are in the heat of spiritual warfare (which we all find ourselves in frequently), you should never take the circumstances at face value and just go through the motions. We all should make the necessary precautions to arm ourselves the the right armour, the gear to stand strong and walk through this valley together.
Loved ones, my prayer is that we hear Paul and wear the full Armour of God and prepare ourselves. Prepare yourselves both spiritually AND mentally. If the enemy can confuse you then he can win over you. Don't let the world blind side you. Jesus said it best "be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."
Your fellow believer,
Mason Phillips
